In June, 2009 Erik's opened a brand new, new look Erik's DeliCafé of Monterey, and in September of the same year, opened a brand new Erik's DeliCafé of Capitola (same shopping center, brand new look).

From the very first Erik’s DeliCafé which was launched in 600 square feet of space, Erik’s has continually worked on being unique. Erik wanted to get people off the street and away from all of the traffic and have them relax. So he decided on a Way Station theme, background- not foreground-music and employees who make people feel comfortable, so that when customers sit down to eat, they’re not going to get ulcers. To that end, Erik’s has no special demographics. Customers are of all ages, ranging from families sharing a meal to workers on a lunch break.
Over the years, Erik’s has continually paid close attention to the small details that have allowed him to expand his unique style of operating in the ultra competitive restaurant business. Although the cuisine served by Erik’s DeliCafé is widely heralded, the business is as much a marketing triumph as a culinary success.
Erik’s is now located throughout the Bay Area with 27 operating locations. We are definitely growing and changing and are looking forward to future expansion in Northern California. We are looking for those who possess the necessary skills and the right amount of ambition to own and operate their very own Erik’s DeliCafé.
